The Challenge
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency developed an activity and coloring book that gave students in grades K-8 the information, tools, strategies, and peace of mind needed to be fully disaster prepared. MWB was tapped to bring the books’ characters alive online, and develop a fully interactive, disaster preparedness website.
The Solution
MWB created MEMA4Kids.org, where Jake the Mitigation Wizard, Delta the Disaster Dog, and Pearl the Preparedness Pup lead young viewers on adventures that help learn the essentials for becoming disaster-ready. Each of the website’s animated videos—featuring Rainey The Raccoon, Twisty The Turtle, Gusty The Seagull, and others—concludes with fun games, tips and activities to get kids prepared.
