By the end of the advertising awards ceremony, held February 20th, Maris, West & Baker (MWB) walked away with 14 Gold Addys, 44 Silver Addys, Copywriter of the Year, Art Director of the Year, as well as Best of Show – Broadcast and Best of Show – Public Serivce. Adding it all up, the agency won more total awards than any other Jackson-area advertising agency and also more Best of Show awards. The agency also won a Mosaic Award, honoring campaigns that promote or reflect a spirit of cultural diversity.

‚ÄúWinning awards is certainly gratifying, but what’s most important to us is producing campaigns that get results,‚Äù said MWB president, Peter Marks. ‚ÄúPeople think of us as a creative advertising agency. But if you go back and look at the work we produced, you’ll see that there’s more to it. There’s a strong strategy behind everything we do.‚Äù

Marks added, ‚ÄúI’m also delighted that we won Addys for 17 different clients. That says to me that we’re doing high-quality work, not just for a select group of clients, but across the board.‚Äù

MWB art director, Keith Fraser, was named Art Director of the Year, and Marc Leffler, Copywriter of the Year. MWB’s ‚ÄúToo Late Show‚Äù campaign was singled out as the Best of Show winner for broadcast advertising (TV and radio).
